POSITION SUMMARY Group Operator role is to organise and plan services provided for groups travelling within Europe. The role will be involved in our group business organizing taylor made tours, packages and series. The individual will be expected to provide excellent organizational and customer service skills and to ensure that budgets are met and tours are successful. Individual will need to show confidence and strength to deal with different numbers of itineraries at the same time. Major Areas of Responsibility Ability to work within budgets given and make independent decisions to ensure profitability of groups while ensuring a quality service Communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers from all over Europe, ranging from hotels, guides, coaching, tourist attractions and any other services that the group requires Take responsibility for tours while travelling to resolve problems satisfactorily to company standards Responsible for resolving urgent issues when they arise (may be on weekends or after normal work hours) Work alongside the accounting team in prioritizing pre payments and reconciling of group invoices Work within the company internal system (Softrip) to ensure suppliers and pricing is accurate Travel may be required for site inspections or quality control of high priority groups (as approved by TSE Director) Candidate will also be required to handle emergency phone calls in connection with the groups travelling out of regular office working time during the year.
Requisitos : QUALIFICATIONS High level of both written and spoken English. Other languages as Italian and French are an advantage. Candidate must be commercially aware and enjoy statistical analaysis with a computer system Candidate should show creative skills to suggest new itinerary ideas to clients. Confidence and strength to deal with large groups when travel is needed and control of Tour Escorts Candidate should be able to show patience and great customer care when with passengers. Ability to communicate effectively and productively with different nationalities. Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office products and excel Detail orientated with superior organizational skills. Ability to multi task and to prioritise work Capacity to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems. Passionate about providing a great customer experience Working Location / Hours Job is based in the Barcelona branch of Travel Services Europe Operational hours are Monday Friday, 09:00 am 6:00 pm (1-hour lunch) OR 10:00 am 7:00 pm Candidate will also be required to handle emergency phone calls in connection with the groups travelling out of regular office working time during the year.
