We are a leading American Tour Operator, headquartered in Portland, USA and with a European office in Barcelona. A global travel company selling holidays to Europe, Central & South America, and Asia. We make booking travel easy and package together components that include flights, rail, cars, hotels, sightseeing, transfers, and other experiential travel options. We specialize in offering hand-picked, boutique hotels as well as unique experiences for travelers. The role of the Operations Specialist is to work with our international DMC suppliers to book all the components of the trips and to work with US Travel Agents. Our Fully Independent Travel (FIT) model offers a wide range of components that are processed through our own system and require a high attention to detail to ensure that each travel itinerary is perfectly prepared for our customers.
Requisitos : Responsibilities • Confirm all components of the travel itinerary using the company system and our DMC suppliers booking systems • Ensure that all confirmations and modifications are processed on time • Monitor pending services and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required • Contact travel agents regarding schedule changes, unavailable services, and other occurrences. • Work closely with Suppliers in different countries to resolve customer issues that arise while customers are traveling. • Maintain good relationships with partners and ensure suppliers provide services in line with company guidelines • Work with Product, Operations and Accounting Departments in our US office to resolve errors as they occur. • Provide an excellent level of service and collaboration to our customers, both internal and external. • Other duties as assigned Experience • Are a team-player, work efficiently, are detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills to succeed in this fast-paced work-environment • Have demonstrated a professional attitude with a positive, upbeat, and friendly personality. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Are proficient working in different computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. • Creative thinking with the ability to effectively identify and solve problems as they occur. • Have excellent problem solving, complaint resolution, organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines • Can adapt to changing policy and product in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture • Have demonstrated exceptional habits of dependability and attendance • Are available for overtime hours when needed.
